As the main approach route to Mt Everest (Sagarmatha), the Solukhumbu region has an almost mystical status in the world of trekking. The region is immensely rich in tradition & culture. People residing here are following the same practices for more than hundreds of years. You can find monasteries, small gompas, Chortens fastened with colorful prayer flag and mani-walls throughout the region.
